Winter Hitting Leagues at USA

The staff at Ultimate Sports Academy is offering an exciting new Winter Hitting League for five weeks. Teams will compete at USA's HitTrax batting simulator on Sunday afternoons. HitTrax is New Hampshire's first and only baseball simulator featuring an amazing combination of analytics and entertainment.
Four players per team. Begins Sunday, Jan. 10 and continues January 17, 24, 31, Feb. 7. Cost is $100 per player. Games are 90 minutes, including warmups.

Media Day set for Jan. 3

MEDIA DAY: On Jan. 3, the Bobcats are hosting Media Day at Ultimate Sports Academy from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Players will be receiving their uniforms. Professional photographer/videographer Barry Alley is our new team photographer, and he will be taking head and shoulder portraits of every player and coach.

Winter Baseball Academy

Players ages 9 and up are eligible to sign up for the Bobcats Winter Baseball Academy at Ultimate Sports Academy in Manchester. Training begins Jan 9-10, 2016 and continues every Saturday and Sunday through March. Workouts are designed to prepare athletes for the spring season with an emphasis on arm conditioning, overall agility and proper fundamentals of fielding, hitting, pitching and catching.

Champions Hitting Camp , Ken Joyce

Ken Joyce of the San Francisco Giants, owner of four World Series rings, is once again hosting the Champions Hitting Camp at Ultimate Sports Academy on Saturday, Dec. 19. Session I for ages 9-12 is from 2-5 p.m. Session II for ages 13-17 is from 6-9 p.m. Log in at usanh.com and register for the camp.

Welcome Tommy Chase!

Former University of Notre Dame co-captain Tommy Chase has joined the staff at Ultimate Sports Academy and is available for fielding and hitting lessons. Chase, a four-year member of the Fighting Irish, has also coached in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League and is entering his first year as an assistant at Southern New Hampshire University.

Memorial Day Classic Schedules/Results

Update 11:09 a.m. In 11u Division, there are puddles near home plate at Auburn Softball Field but we feel confident the 3 p.m. semifinal between Cannons/Hurricanes will be played. The championship will be 5 p.m. The No. 1 seed Spinners Red received a bye and will play the Cannons/Hurricanes at 5 p.m.

Update 9:05 a.m. In 14u Division, the semifinals have been cancelled. No. 1-seed Legends vs. No. 2 seed Astros are playing the championship at Madison Park (turf field) on Cabot St. in Boston.

Grand slam highlights weekend at NEBC

Connor Haas belted his first career grand slam, lifting Bobcats Navy to a 9-6 victory against the New England Storm in 11u games this weekend. Cameron Olivo also homered for the second consecutive weekend as coach Joe Evans' squad won two games on Saturday. In other 11u games, Bobcats White advanced to the championship bracket with a 9-1 triumph over the Braintree Bandits. Left-hander Michael Thresher pitched a scoreless three innings to lead the way, and Thomas Speltz was solid in relief.
