A star-studded triumvirate of talent from the New Hampshire Bobcats is headed to Miami. Cameron Olivo, Luke Ramsey and Marcus Soucia, who all won New England championships in 2016, have been invited to the 11th annual World Power Showcase at Marlins Park in Miami on Dec. 27-31. The event features the most prolific amateur players from around the world and provides a center stage in front of baseball's top evaluators during a live worldwide broadcast. Players are selected based on ability, power, references and showcase performances. Olivo, a power-hitting catcher and pitcher, will represent New Hampshire in the "Future Stars" Home Run Derby and 12u All-American Game. Ramsey and Soucia will play for the East All-Stars in the All-American Game and also take their hacks in the HR Derby at Marlins Park. Bobcats director Kevin Gray, an associate scout for the Seattle Mariners, is honored to be among the East coaching staff.

Olivo batted .492 with seven home runs, including a grand slam in the New England Elite Baseball League Division II championship.  The Bobcats posted a 21-10 overall record, including a tournament championship in the Copa de Beisbol, culminating with a 10-9 win against the Dominican Republic. Ramsey and Soucia led the Bobcats to a 13u New England Elite Baseball League championship, culminating with an 8-5 win against the Nor'Easters at Tufts University. The Bobcats posted a 32-3 overall record, including tournament championships at LeLacheur Stadium in Lowell, Mass., and the Memorial Day weekend title in Manchester, N.H.

Ramsey's skillset includes raw power, blazing speed and above-average arm strength. He collected seven hits in the Spinners Springshot tourney, including a clutch three-hit performance against the Jr. Spinners Prospects during an 8-7 triumph for the Bobcats. Overall, he batted .448 with 14 extra-base hits and 15 stolen bases. Ramsey is entering his freshman year at Concord Christian. Soucia, a freshman at Keene High School, batted .561 with a league-leading 11 triples and fashioned a 19-game hitting streak. On the mound, he posted a 9-0 record with 1.80 ERA and tossed a no-hitter against the Plympton Crush. The World Power Showcase is a five-day, all-encompassing experience that includes MLB Scout Day, mental strength sessions and a welcome dinner and jersey presentation ceremony. A representative from all 30 major league teams will be attending Scout Day at Marlins Park. MLB stars Kris Bryant, Bryce Harper and Anthony Rizzo have all competed in the Power Showcase.
